Marco Polo HQ

We recognised a need for an intentional space where sessions can be held that doesn’t subject our participants to any additional out of pocket expenses. The MPS HQ is home to a thriving community of diverse individuals and hosts hundreds of sessions every week.

Our new home in Breakwater is a purpose set up facility supporting 1:1 sessions throughout the week, where participants build life skills and grow in confidence through the huge range of activities on offer. Every room is designed around a different way of connecting or working towards achieving individual goals. Being just minutes from Breakwater Reserve, Barwon River and Geelong CBD, we are perfectly placed for getting out into the community.

What’s at HQ?

  • Our main hangout zone. Multiple tables and chairs for seated activities, a lounge area with a 85” TV, board games, arts and crafts, a piano keyboard and guitar, plus a library/reading corner.

  • Table tennis, a pool table and an arcade machine. Great for building coordination, turn taking and a bit of banter.

  • Two PS5 consoles and bean bag seating for four. A relaxed space for co-op play or a bit of friendly competition.

  • Fully equipped with cooking utensils and equipment ready to go for cooking sessions. Also has a filtered water system for anyone concerned of drinking tap water.

  • A quiet, low stimulation space for rest, emotional regulation and taking a break when feel like a lot.

  • Outside we have a basketball ring, space to play outdoor games, a lunch table and a community garden for those who enjoy getting their hands dirty.

  • We have various equipment and materials that can be taken out into the community for use, including: bikes, fishing rods, all sorts of sporting equipment and more.

    • Breakwater Reserve is approximately 300m away, with tennis courts, a footy oval and a playground

    • Barwon River is only a few minutes walk, offering walking tracks and fishing spots

    • Geelong CBD is only a few minutes away by car
